What’s interesting is that in Europe they expect drivers to signal when you approach the exit within the roundabout. You don’t mention to use signals. For instance: turning right you signal turning right as you enter the roundabout and leaving it signal as you leave. To go straight one doesn’t signal as you enter but as you approach your exit you signal right. Turning Left you signal left entering the roundabout but signal right as you approach your exit. This allows drivers know when you leave the roundabout whether the roundabout services 3, 4, or more exits.

My wife and I are from England, we negotiated the first roundabout in Sedona a few years back, it was being constructed. 😅

The Saudis are doing something similar to this except on a much grander scale, a building called “The Line”, which is a 100+ km long building as tall as the World Trade Center in NYC. I honestly don’t think The Line will ever be completely built, but portions of it may be completed, similar to Arcosanti, which was envisioned to house something like 5,000 people. I visited Arcosanti in April of 2022, and did the tour. It would be nice to spend two or more days there and have access to the complete grounds some day. While attending architecture school back in the early 1980’s, I had the opportunity to do one of the five week summer workshops, but never did it.

This is fascinating. Has there been thought of combining the ancient terrace agriculture techniques of the Incans along with modern hydro/aeroponics to help make the city self sufficient? The idea of bringing back ancient techniques like sand dams, swales, and other permaculture to provide water for a desert community is fascinating. Are there any articles or drawing that discuss this? I love this, it is wonderful.

Love the locations and the work done here. I am going to Sedona this October and am a bit confused if drones are actually legal to fly in the wilderness areas. Boynton Canyon is top on my list to fly but am questioning if it's legal. Any thoughts on this that you can share? All of my wants to drone are in these areas so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and best of luck in your next project.

Because I have made the mistake of spending tens of thousands of dollars to be an owner at #DiamondResorts, I will be forced to come to Sedona May 16th even though I am travelling with my 85 year old father and I have had three heart surgeries. OR I could forfeit my $5000 worth of accommodations. If I had been smarter and booked with AirBnb I could cancel without penalty.
